Beene’s Car Care Center began serving Melbourne and surrounding areas in 1976 when “Willie” Beene opened a service station in Melbourne. The station was located across the highway from its current location. At that time services offered included gas, tires, and oil changes.
In 1983, Willie relocated to the current location offering mufflers and light-duty mechanic work. Willie’s son, Skeeter, had always worked right beside his dad. In 1987, upon completion of high school and alignment training, Skeeter went to work full-time at the family business. They then added vehicle alignments and wholesale tire sales to their line of services offered to their customers.
After the death of his dad, Skeeter took over and continued to operate the business just as his dad had. Skeeter and his wife Holly added a wrecker and towing service in 2007 and in 2011 added their salvage business. They continue to operate the family business together with customer service being top priority today as always.
